Porter's 4 Year Old Check-up

Porter is getting ready for school so he had to visit the doctor for a round of shots. He got one in each leg but he handled it like a big boy. He didn't cry at all just yelled OUCH when she stuck him. His Nana held his arms through the whole thing while the nurse held his legs. He couldn't move and inch so I'm sure that helped him from jerking and making it worse. Now is ready to start school on August 25!

Weight: 35 lb.
Height: 39.5 in.

21 Months

Porter was 21 months last week on the 2nd of May. His vocabulary really seemed to grow this month. He is still hard to understand but he tries so hard.  He says "eat" when he's hungry and "bite" when he wants more. When we pull up at the sitters house he says "Trish". He says "I love you" when we lay him down at night. As soon as we start going down the driveway he says "horse". He knows they are in the pasture and him and daddy will feed them soon. His run actually looks like he's running now and he goes pretty fast. His I-teeth on top and bottom are both breaking through. We had a few days of high fever this month from those mean things. He is a tough little guy and handles things like that so well! He has started squeezing really tight with his hugs. He even lays his head on my shoulder and pats with both hands. BEST hug ever! Happy 21 months P-man!

20 months

Porter was 20 months on April 2nd but I missed the post. Right now he is 27.2 pounds and 35 inches tall. Still talking none stop but he is still hard to understand. We are still watching Cars 2 everyday or twice a day. He will tell you "it went offfff" if his movie ends and he says "Please" and "Thank you". He blows kisses bye and tries putting on his own shoes to go outside. We still spend the majority of our time out there. His newest favorite thing is riding the mower with daddy!!

19 Months today

Yep this little angel is 19 months old today!! Here are a few pictures of Porter playing outside this morning. Yes, that's what we do every morning and every afternoon. Sometimes getting him in the house or truck is like wrestling a baby bull but who can blame him with how beautiful the weathers been. We love spring weather!

18 Months!

This little dude is a year and half today!! Can you believe it?! I tried to get some pictures of him this morning but getting him to stand still and smile for the camera is hard to do. At this age running away from me is the only thing on his mind and he is pretty fast for being so little. We go to the doctor in a few weeks for his 18 month check-up so I will update you on his weight and height then. He is talking more and more everyday even though we don't know what he is saying half the time. He loves to read and for us to read to him. At night I can ask him to pick out a book and he will go get one and we sit down and read it. We actually read about five cause he loves picking them out. He still loves taking a bath but he can climb out of the tub now. He has 12 teeth now since his 4 molars broke through a few weeks ago. The best part of everything is the big hugs and sweet little kisses he likes to give out now. Happy 18 months P!

17 Months... A few days late

Porter turned 17 months on January 2nd!!! The last month was so busy for us and Porter is always keeping us going. He is actually scaring me with all the stunts and new things he is trying. He has started hanging upside down, jumping off of things and climbing up anything and everything. He's not afraid to try anything but he is scared to death of a vacuum cleaner. He runs in the other directions if I get it out and will make Brad hold him till I get done. He still eats anything you give him, he's 25 pounds now, added chocolate milk and diaper to his list of words, and he will point his tiny finger at you and tell you NO NO. (Not sure who he got that from!) This age is so much fun and Porter is so fun to hang out with. I'm ready to see what he learns this month!

16 Months

Porter is 16 months old today!!! Still learning and surprising us everyday with the things he does. The newest thing he is doing is carrying on conversation that are a bunch of jibberous. lol You can ask him a question and he answers you but I have no idea whats coming out of that tiny little mouth of his. It's super cute though!!!

15 Months

Month 14 went by so fast and Porter is still growing faster then we can keep up. Can you believe he is 15 Months already?

Here are a few things he's been up to:

• Running instead of walking
• Points to his nose when you ask "Where's your nose at?"
• Sticks his tongue out when you ask "Where's your tongue at?"
• Says 1 - 2 - 3 before he throws something
• Sleeping till 7:30 or 8:00
• Naps about 2 hours a day
• Feeds himself with a spoon
• Blows kisses
• Gives "High Five" if you ask him

Happy 14 Months!

I know I am a couple days late but Porter is now 14 Months old. He's still awesome, cute, outgoing and so much fun.

• He has 8 teeth now (4 on top and 4 on bottom). 
• Eats anything you put in front of him. 
• Loves to read we just don't know what he's saying.
• Climbs on everything in site and it doesn't scare him one bit. 
• He loves to clean out my bottom draws and stand in them. 
• He learned to run within the last few weeks

13 Months!

Our big guy is 13 Months today! He is running, playing and talking like crazy. He has added fish, thank you, this, and Trish (his babysitters name) to his vocabulary. We still have an awesome routine of bath at 8:30 in bed by 9:00 and he is sleeping till 7:30 or 8:00. Bath time is still his favorite part of the day. He has learned he can lay down and roll around in the water. He eats just about anything you give him but I think carrots and mashed potatoes are his favorite. He does something new and exciting every day and is such a big boy now!!!

12 Month Shots and Still a Happy Baby!

Porter had to get 5 shots today at his 12 month check up. One in each arm, two in one leg and one in the other leg. As a mom this has to be one of the worst things to do. Hold your baby while someone pokes them repeatedly with needle. It's just TERRIBLE! We made it through though and he was happy and smiling as soon as she handed him that sucker!

Porter's 1st Birthday Party

Porter birthday party was a huge success and I can't thank everyone enough for being there. Also for all the help with setting up and cleaning up!

He had so much fun!! He played and played and played some more! He even wore the tissue paper as a cap and walked around. lol He loved all of his gifts and has already played with every single one. Thanks again and Happy Birthday P man.

11 months and an awesome weekend!

Porter turned 11 months on Saturday! (count down to his first birthday....27 Days)

Friday we went to Fredericksburg, TX with Porter's Papa Mahoney and Granny. It was such a pretty place and P did great on the drive down there. He napped, played and talked the whole way. We had dinner at a German restaurant where Porter had mashed potatoes and green beans. It's one of his favorite dinners! Then went for a short swim at the hotel before bed time. Randy and Lisa came down and Saturday we all went to the WWII reenactment and museum. It was a lot of fun and very interesting and I'm glad Porter will have pictures of him and his papa sharing this time together.

Monday was Porter's first 4th of July!!! We went to Nana's and had hot dogs and cheese cake. Porter's favorite part was the cake! We did a few fireworks which I'm not sure if he liked or not. He is to busy walking around and trying to get into everything. I swear he could walk around outside all day long.

10 Months old today

Porter is 10 months old today!! I took a few pictures of him in the suit and converse he is wearing Saturday for his Aunt Tamara and Uncle Matt's wedding. He is so handsome!! :)

9 Month Check-up

Weight: 20 lbs 5.5 oz - 90th percentile
Length: 29 in. - 75th percentile
Head circumference: 47 in. - 95th percentile


No shots today thank goodness so Porter was in a great mood. He was screaming and talking the whole time. He is so much fun!! The doctor said he was doing good so we don't go back till his 12 month check up. Which by the way is only 2 months and 10 days away! Can you believe he is almost one!?

8 Months old!

Porter had another busy weekend. We had our ladies lunch on Saturday and he got to try beans and avocado. He loved both!! I'm not really sure how he got beans in his eyebrow. We are blaming Aunt Kim for that one. He also got a new play set that he can pull up on from his Nana. He loves it and he look so big standing next to it. I swear he is going to be walking soon. His granny stayed the night with us Saturday night and we had a bbq. He enjoys being outside and relaxing in the sun!

He's growing to fast...7 months old today!!

Porter is 6 months old today!!

Because of the cold weather and ice everywhere we got to spend the day with Porter. It was so great to get to spend his 6 month birthday with him!! We played, snuggled and ate peas!!! He actually loves them!!
